About Us
Based at Alligator Creek in Queensland, the Tropical Coast Western Performance Club was established due to increasing interest in Western Performance and lack of options for local enthusiasts in the area. The club addresses a need for a western disciplined club, whose focus is to introduce likeminded people to the sport and encourage the development of Western Performance in the North Qld area. Currently, there are 30 members in the Club, with most residing in the local Alligator Creek / Serene Valley area.
The fundemental interest in Western Performance in North Queensland has been gaining momentum and there has long been a need for more Townsville based western disciplined clubs to generate interest at a grass roots level - and we aim to do just that!
Most of our Club members are beginners and new to Western Performance. We have riders from all discliplines - Pony Club, Polocross and English riding and we welcome anyone who is interested in the sport. We will be holding approx 4 shows per year and will also try to hold Western Riding clinics to
Along with Western Performance, the TCWPC has a big focus on horsemanship and developing a relationship with your horse. Basic groundwork and advancing your skills both on the ground and in the saddle is a huge area of interest and we hold horsemanship clinics and horsemanship challenge days,which are designed to test and improve your relationship with your horse.
